Capture side
The capturing ActiveX controls allow remote control of COM ports, remote queries and dynamic control of real-time video & audio capture parameters such as the configured bandwidth, the utilized bandwidth, the frame rate, etc. Since all camera ports are autonomous, the queries can be done independently. Furthermore, all PTZ cameras can be controlled with VisioWave's "Mobile Camera Language".
Restitution side
The ActiveX controls in this category allow the control of live or recorded video & audio playback anywhere on the network (e.g. for microphone announcements from a PC). Moreover, On Screen Display (multilingual and customizable), notion of cycles and backup sources can be configured here.
Storage
The storage ActiveX controls allow to query the storage database for recorded video & audio, which can be restricted by various parameters like date interval, minimum frame rate, source name, alarm recordings etc. Restarts, deletion protection, visualization of the recordings on alarms are also available functionalities. With these controls, recorded video files can be handled like virtual cameras.
Real world interfacing
The ActiveX controls in this category allow the remote control of digital inputs and outputs and to query or set the state of the digital relays. Event notifications can be sent and received to trigger various actions (e.g. door opener, badge access).
Equipment monitoring
The equipment monitoring ActiveX controls allow to remote query generic system information (e.g. network adapters, video processors, drivers, channel configuration, ...) and the state of various system health probes (e.g. temperature, video signal, fan speeds, core voltages, ...). They also allow the management of system alarms, alarm thresholds etc.
Component side
The ActiveX controls in this category allow the software based decoding of video/audio flows from various localities. The output quality is, for each video/audio flow, independently and dynamically definable: resolution (FULL, CIF, QCIF, ..), FPS, various image properties... It also displays the image processing outputs.
